Lightweight broadband absorption panel of limp bag type, specifically made for corners. Place a couple of these in the corners of your room to reduce low and mid frequency decay times.
This sound absorption module is a great room acoustic device for reducing decay times (commonly called reverberation) in the low and mid frequencies. It's most effective around approximately 100-1000 Hz but will even out lower frequency regions. Changes as low as 60 Hz is not uncommon.
The plastic surface around the absorber inside acts as a limp membrane and together with the mass inside, this air tight enclosure and acoustic system efficiently reduces acoustic energy and lowers the decay times. The outer enclosure with it's fabric and lightweight wood panels is mainly for enabling easy stacking of several modules.
In contrast to a velocity type broadband porous absorber as the Absorbear, these Limp Bear panels do not need to be as deep in order to reduce lower frequencies. The limp bag absorber inside this Bear Trap is 19 cm deep.
One benefit of using a Bear Trap is that they absorb over a broad bandwidth. In contrast, an helmholtz resonator tends to often be a high Q (narrow bandwidth) system. Therefor they are potentially challenging to integrate adequately with your specific needs.
A generous amount of panels is often needed to get satisfactory results, but this is of course highly depended on your space and it's current room acoustic state.
The Bear Trap module suits room acoustically challenging scenarios such as:
* Any audio listening room with absent or insufficient low frequency management
* Any room with excessive MF and LF decay times and modal ringing issues

Absorption ability details:
Lab testing results with absorption coefficients and quantifiable details can not be presented at this moment, due to it's high costs. In order to properly lab test our products in a suitable (and big enough) reverberation lab environment with high accuracy in low frequencies, it would require a big sum of money. With that said, Ljudbjörnen has planned to carry through such lab tests of all offered products further on.
Polyester absorption panel
This product is designed to be placed in corners. No drilling or installation needed. They can be stacked on top of each other but be aware: no more than four modules on top of each other.
If additional mounting solutions are requested (for example up where the ceiling meets a wall), such installation can be executed on request.
In order to optimize the absorption performance, the placement of the Limp Bear panels is critical. To maximize the performance and making sure these Limp Bear panels reduces the energy of the mode(s) or frequency regions you are intending to reduce, make sure you ask for a proper installation.
